About Me

My name is Emily and I have been a creator my entire life. I am a visual artist, an independent thinker, and an advocate for creative freedom. Relentless expression is the driving force behind my evolving perspective. It is impossible to separate it from the way I experience the world.

Authenticity, wit, and whimsy are values I incorporate in the work I make. You might find some clever word-play and subtle sass if you look close. I've always fused playful energy and unconventionality into what I do. I find the process can be more rewarding than the end result.

Life has been a work in process, hence the reason I see beauty in growth. From a young age I knew I wanted to actualize my desire to be an artist. It was my constant craving.

I pursued my aspirations when I attended Columbia College Chicago. During my four years of studying Art and Design I learned a lot about myself, the world, and the way I navigate it.

I traveled to Ireland for a semester, and furthered my studies at Griffith College Dublin, where I was able to explore my love for music. Dublin's music community inspired me to minor in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management. Working with musicians and promoting events at venues led me to become a musician myself. The relationship between auditory and visual expression influences my work to this day.

After graduating summa cum laude with a BA in Art and Design in 2014, it became clear that life keeps moving. What I have achieved does not define who I am; it has helped shape who I am becoming. I focus my efforts on creating art I want to create. Taking on projects that I am passionate about and can relate to is important to me. Art is not a means to an end, it is a way of life.
